DIGITAL REFERRAL With the revolutionary communications afforded by Communicator, you need never be isolated from an expert opinion, whether for a supplemental diagnosis or a consultation. Communicator accepts DICOM input from any modality or PACS system and automatically forwards imaging studies directly to a pre-designated location  or  to the Communicator Central Server where they become accessible from a Communicator Workstation by any authorized users that you specify.

Satellite Clinics are a special case of digital referral, where an outlying facility performs the imaging exam but forwards all the studies to another facility for review and diagnosis.  Communicator can be used in this way to provide specialized diagnostic imaging services to rural communities where the cost of dedicated leased lines for connectivity or a resident diagnostician would be otherwise prohibitive.

READ ANYWHERE™  On-call no longer means an early morning trip to the imaging center or clinic. Even when traveling, you can easily review critical patient studies wherever there is an Internet connection, eliminating any worry about being away from your practice (or even just being in your office which may be in a different building from the imaging center). The Communicator includes comprehensive diagnostic functionality. For example, there is a comprehensive cardiology Measurement and Reporting Package that is easily customizable and extensible to meet the current and future needs of a cardiology practice. 

MOBILE IMAGING Using a mobile imaging service no longer means long turnaround times for the patients or multiple visits due to insufficient initial data capture.  Study data can be sent immediately to the reading physician for determination of diagnosis and completeness. This eliminates the need for costly courier service.

IMAGE MANAGEMENT/ PACS ALTERNATIVE We also offer complete “in-house” image management solutions, where the imaging data remains on your local server, with the ability to forward studies to a central server for distribution for remote review and optional archiving. You choose which studies are forwarded and accessible to authorized users outside of your facility. There are no incoming connections from the internet, so attendant data security issues are eliminated.

PEER REVIEW/ACCREDITATION Communicator facilitates the process of peer review and accreditation by enabling the electronic transfer of imaging studies with the respective reports to the reviewer quickly and efficiently.
